CHOREOGRAPHY
My choreographic interest lies in perspective and the various avenues in which this can be explored. This could be exploring the perspective the work is viewed from, or looking at a common theme through different individual lenses. A further common thread within my works is the use of illusion and possibility of the body. The original lure of ballet was in the mystical and magical qualities of the performance (through pointe shoes, lighting, movement quality) and I am keen to continue exploring this idea through contemporary bodies and thinking.

SURVEILLANCE - YOUNG CREATIVES
In December 2018 I won the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland's Choreographic Competition judged by Eve Mutso (former Scottish Ballet principal) and Tamarin Stott (Scottish Ballet Rehearsal Assistant). The piece entitled Surveillance explored what it meant to move in and out of different frames in time and the feeling of being watched. This went on to be platformed at the graduation performance in the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland's New Athenaeum Theatre in June 2019 which involved collaboration with costume and lighting design.
ONE DANCE UK YOUNG CREATIVE
I further submitted this choreography to be a One Dance UK Young Creative in 2019 which I was successful with. This allowed choreographic mentoring with Royal Ballet's Valentino Zucchetti and Rambert's Liam Francis. Further to the mentoring, the piece was also performed at the Royal Opera House (Linbury Theatre) and the Southbank Centre (Purcell Room) as part of the national youth dance festival.
January 2024
Two new creations for RYDC - "High Road, Low Road" and "I'm good, thanks". The latter went on to be performed at the Scottish Youth Dance Platform event Destinations, organised by YDance.
